People won't easily accept change, except engineer a financial crisis and people will be begging for it. Conditions are favourable in some ways now, but if you can reduce standard of living, get people used to not moving about, limit freedom you can create a new breed of worker. I don't think there's any conspiracy though, pandemics are an understood natural event, they've been predicting one was coming for a while. Genetic scientists can see exactly how the virus has come to be from a natural origin, so even if this virus was man-made, it was made so closely to a naturally emerging virus due any moment anyway it makes no difference. It'd be like having the means to create a hurricane, so you create one just as you see a real one forming in the gulf. I mean, you'd just wait and let it form. :hehe:
